Position Description

This opening is an evergreen opportunity, meaning that by applying, you’ll be added to our talent pool for both current and future openings for this role.

Full-Time / Part-Time

All shifts available (7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am)

Pay: $30.00–$42.01 per hour (based on years of experience)

Shift and weekend differentials apply where eligible.

Registry (PRN)

All shifts available (7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am)

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Some Responsibilities Include

  • Practices nursing within the scope of standards of nursing practice.
  • Supports Presbyterian Home's policies and procedures and Nursing Department standards of care.
  • Observes and preserves residents' rights.
  • Communicates appropriately with supervisors, co-workers, other employees, physicians, consultants, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Accepts accountability for clinical care of assigned residents.
  • Completes admission record, and initiate care plans.
  • Monitors the status of residents with acute problems.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents who require professional skilled care.
  • Administers medications and treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures. Is familiar with indication for use, action, and major side effects of medications administered.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved registered professional nursing program.
  • Active, current Illinois LPN license to practice professional nursing.
  • One year as an LPN in a hospital (general care) or long-term care setting with adults preferred.
  • Good communication skills. Ability to direct nursing assistants.
  • Interest in working with older adults. Knowledge of aging changes and common health problems of geriatric patients.
  • Current CPR certification required.
